Cage fabrication

With all this snow stopping me working I thought I'd crack out the TIG set and fabricate a new cage for the Triumph, (& prob a sub cage) any way do any of you know the best tube material / size to use, what do sick and FI use? Is CDS good enuf?

I think they all use cromolly (spelling?) but the best person to ask would be Vandal or Pez..

Hey izit use 1 1/4" x 3mm wall ( 10 or 11 swg ) CDS.
The tube i use is a bigger diameter than most other cages. I find it stronger and you can get a socket inside it to undo ya 10mm nuts etc.
