SICK INNOVATIONS CAGE fittings (f4)

alright then... own up!!!

What's teh best way to bodge fixing the useless join at the bottom of the f4i cage from Sick innovations?

ideally without the extra width of two nute on the end of a long thread bar sticking out he side (which likes to try and chuck me off when I drag it on the floor?!?!?!)

You put an outer sleave over it . And remember the threads are imperial.

Or buy one of mine and theres no need for it

cheers - so after the sleeve on the outside, you still need to put a thread or bolt inside it? how?

hopeing to get it powder coated tomorrow, maybe (fingers crossed) then I'll get it back together ASAP + a bit of painting and shwing it's ready to make a mess of again, lol

If you have no welder you can get a tube sized to go over the out side of the cross bar (about 75mm long) them drill two 7mm holes straight through 20mm from each end of the tube. then fit the cage with the tube over the cross bar . Slide the sleeve over the joint so its 50/50 them mark the holes that need to be drilled in the cage. Take apart and drill the cage holes but it all back together but 6mm bolts through your holes and tighten. It would be better if I could draw it but my PC skills are not there i'm affraid.

This is a picture i googled for might help...
