636 Question ???

Right i know load's of people say the 636 is a fragile bike.. But how fragile? is it rare for the frames to snap from a heavy fall or does it happen to everyone that has landed hard quite alot? I was going to just get a F4i for my next bike but i love the 636 too much !!! It would most likely be a 2003 model.. And any more tips would be helpful

Re: 636 Question ???

I love my 636. But thats what I learned on and it took a beating, espescialy when I started circles. I would just bail and let the bike pancake a lot.
My frame ended up cracking. I rode with the crack for a couple months before it got really bad. Now i got a new frame but the bike still isn't put back together.
I probly should have started on an f4i because I hear they're stronger. But it doesn't matter now becasue I won't be slamming it as hard as I used to.

Re: 636 Question ???

loose motor mounts are the cause of most frames cracking hondas and kawis , yes f4i frames crack too

i keep my motor mounts tight and my 636 has over 20 thousand stunt miles on it , i learned almost every type of circle i know on this bike and i slammed it down a million times while i learned them

Re: 636 Question ???

So tighten the engine mounts... Anything else that you could do to re-strenghen it ? My Kawasaki are known for the Engines to fall out when you land hard :YEAH

Its going to be slammed down alot i can tell you that.. so do you all think i should go safe get a F4i.. or go pimp and get a 636

Re: 636 Question ???

when you crash hard check to make sure the mounts are tight cause what happens in the cage gives a little and that is why the motor mounts get loose
