take the wires that goes into the thermostat/ pressure reader on the left side of the bike when you are sitting on it should be a brown plug well take it out of there and cut the wires and then put a little switch in there instead i run with my on all the time. It is a permanant live though so make sure you stop it when you put bike away otherwise you got flat battery lucky i live on a slight hill cos i am a fool and keep leaving it on when i finish at the spot

another way to wire the switch is to just leave the wires hooked up to the tempeture sending unit and add a switch before it so you can bypass it if you want by turning the switch on but if you forget to turn on the switch it will still let the fan come on with temp

Re: 636 riders, help !

the Other option is to Weld a Secound Fan on to your Rad, then just wire it Direct to your battery via a 2 way Switch, this way u can cool down your bike Fast.

The last option is to Buy an F4i :YEAH

safe riding

Re: 636 riders, help !

thanks for the advice...
i wired in a flick switch and mounted it near the left clip on so i can turn the fan on/off manually, but left the orignal temp sender hooked up to, so far so good, seems to be doing the job..

im gonna change the rad cap aswell during the week, the one on it is 1.1 bar...

thanks again....

Re: 636 riders, help !

got it sorted, i changed the rad cap, bled out any air, put in some new coolant and all is o.k, i didnt want to leave the fan running the whole time, cos... well cos you shouldnt have to...

yea i watching my fan it cuts in more like 100-110...

i left a lil manual flick switch for the fan hooked up though just incase when its really hot out an im rollin burnouts an o's....

cheers for the replys lads...

especially you squidbert
p.s my mates supposedly minty 600rr is giving lots of problems
