Surrey to Manchester = fooking long way

Now my bikes ready im gonna try and make it a regular thing, so it might be worth the trip one week and you can always crash (sleep over not literally crash) up here.

stuntlifers are fairly well spread out over the UK, it was great to meet so many at the elvington practice.

62t rear sprocket = anti-flip device.

Re: ants spot this weekend?

Thanks for your concearn guys, my plan is not to launch it to bp but to travel slowly 3-5mph launch the front and bring it down on the back brake - do this over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over again until finally my brain will begin to realize that the back brake brings the front down & not shutting the throttle.

I did actually have a little go last night and i think the sprocket might be what i need to help me over this hurdle. Still not hitting the back brake yet

-Ludo - I paid £15 all in from a nice breaker called James @ junction 25, that was after ringing about 20 other ***** that couldn't be bothered.

Try constantly pushing your brake even when your nowhere near balance point and then youl get it in your head when to push harder at BP... Once you get it, It become's natural

Re: ants spot this weekend?

Maximu5 - thats exactly what i intend to do, im not going to think about bp until i feel natural on the back brake.

Loving that 62 though, its better than stock 1st for bobbing off the lights and stuff in heavy traffic

Its such a shame i cant have a 1000cc gearbox with its longer gearing it would make that 62 ok for motorways.

Re: ants spot this weekend?

Todays Practice went well, just kolor me carbo and myself.

The good news is i was launching everytime with the 62T & idle at 2K, shitting myself and closing the throttle as normal, but i did advance in using the back brake, so im a tiny bit pleased with myself.

Next session im going to up the idle to 3K and get more practice bringing it down on the back brake.

Good meeting you today Kev, hope you get that spot sorted so i can visit you next time.

Re: ants spot this weekend?

Drop the idle down to standard, don't increase it yet it will just make your throttle control really poor which will inevitably lead to you flipping it. higher idle won't help you until you're doing idle speed wheelies ... as I say , at this point it will just cover up your poor throttle control.

Re: ants spot this weekend?

I thought that was the point of turning the idle up.

Anyway 2K was good today, it stoped me slamming the front down but its not too high to make me flip.

Re: ants spot this weekend?

You can turn the idle up and cover **** throttle control if you like, but I wouldn't reccomend it as you'll come unstuck sometime.....! Learn on stock and you'll be a LOT better in the long run.... It took me ages before I first scraped because I concentrated on being smooth and catching idle smoothly.
