theses so much to do

clean air
clutch actuator
oil pick up
flaten of engine mounts to take a nut on the back of the fi cage bolts
had to put i a alternator as well

mate 3 days later and i still aint ridden her....................

 

what do u mean by clean air

 

the head breathes into the air box
if u have done the tip sensor
and u drop ur bike to the left and it dips on to the nose cone or tank
it could hydro lock as oil pumps into the air box then into the motor

it could just get blown out the making alot of smoke
or stop the engine from turning
or bend valves / rods as u go to start it

so clean air mod is to..........
block the 2 airbox pipe inlets
and plumb the hot crank case air to a old drinks can out of the way....
idealy u could have a very small filter on the end of ur hose pipe / can arrangement
as engines breath in while cooling down.....

 

if you are talking about an f4i then hook the crank case breather hose[the hose that comes out of the left side of the valve cover] to a plastic t fitting and then replace your clean air valve with the plastic t fitting [clean air valve is the t shaped valve on top of the valve cover that has three hoses going to it] the cap off the two holes that will be left in your airbox ,and thats a proper clean air mod on an f4i ......

you will not only keep oil out of your air box but you will create a vaccum in your crank case and that is free horse power and low end torque....

 

oh and if the bike smokes alot when you put it on the bar with this mod that just means you have too much oil in it but don't worry because the oil is routed directly to the exhaust ports with this mod so it won't foul your plugs or damage your engine in any way

i have some changes to make
i still have to build a clutch for the new motor hope it turns out to be a good engine.....


found parts of 4th gear in the bottom of the old engine...
a mate of mine who is an enginer wss saying the gears could have all locked up. as it has happened to him once
even if u pull the clutch in it still locks............

 

how do you break 4th gear.....lol

 

errrr......
well i spose it might have somink to do with trying to get to 6th gear while doing a burn out and poppin a tyre...........the crowd loved it tho.... lol

she has had some false neutrals for a while..............

 

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh ......lol

and it will live again.......................once i get a dona gear box.........thanks Sparks

 

did you use the clutch while shifting through in a burnout? if not it might have saved the gear. hope you get your ride back together soon!

 

she wont shift without the clutch while shes spinning up.......
