Does anyone here listen to an ipod/Mp3 player whilst practicing? Just curious if anyone does.. and if so does it put you off or improve your riding?

ive tried it but dont really like it i like to hear the engine otherwise i feel a bit disconected from my bike also tryed the hands free on my phone and that was even worse i dont really think you can concentrate on two diffrent things at once ya brain just focuses on whats most important and blocks the rest out

If your riding with others it's gota be a no no, first off you need to hear who is around you and whats going on.

Then you'll wont to hear what the bike is doing. I wouldn't/coudn't do it, but its up to you. But if we ever ride together i'd rather you didnt use it with me there case something goes wrong by either of us

 

I'm not on about when riding with others, on about when I go riding in the evenings on me own in a freezing cold car park in middle of no where in the dark, with an owl

And music wouldn't be loud, I have to hear the engine... just loud enough to hear it, but not loud enough to be distracting or block out other noises.

I have done on my mx bike, and i rode like a mad man :P
but had it on when i was pitbiking (agessss ago, back in the dirt days) and couldnt really hear it (off my phone) only when i had backed off.
