Re: blade problems

Ye neil it was looking at jons scrapeworks cage that made me think about making the fi ones better.
Al, i thort that it might be good to use standard threaded bar cos then that can twist and bend (as it does) n take some of the stress away from everything else
I'd be happy to just have to replace threaded bar all the time to be fair!lol

Re: blade problems

maybe ur right chris
will have to carry spare lenths of studding around lol

can u get 11mm stundding
or take it all out to 12 mm
but
it might solve the one man cage fitting joke !!
extra deep sockets should sort it
also maybe take a grinder to the back of the mounts to
create a flat for the tubeing to butt up to

Re: blade problems

i hate engine mounts!!i've now only got half of my left hand mount i think the fi cages are notorious for riping em off Those scrapeworks cages look like they distribute the impact more evenly accross the bike

i found a place that keeps the h/t tube in all sizes,im ordering 10mm bore 16.8 to 17.4mm o/d,thickness 2.90mm
if anyone wants any give me a shout i get a good discount the more i order

im also ordering some 12.9 rating threaded bar m10
