The UK sucks.

It's official I hate the UK. I've stunted my f4i about 4 times in roughly 3 months, it's a joke, complete joke... one of the times I was pulled by an undercover cop (luckily let off) and the other 3 times police ****in turned up!! never stopped around to see what they wanted but it interupts play none-the-less.

So every ****in time I go out to ride down my way the damn police turn up

3 years time and i'm ****ing off to america. finishing my electrical apprenticeship and going to california or florida. Should take about 2 years to finish the apprenticeship and another year to save up and arrange the move.

In the mean time though I'm not sure what to do I can't really lose my licence as I won't have a job next year so it'll wreck everything so no FTP, only got 1 place I know police won't turn up but thats a 2 hour drive and I can't go often cos gotta take a day off work

There's no real point to this post, just me being pissed off and drowning my sorrows I can't wheely for **** anymore either... been soooo long I think I forgot

Just keep riding till you find somewhere mate. Checking out a place this evening lads, and if it is as we think it is, it'll be worth travelling to

That's not actually true. Anywhere with public access, whether legal or not, is classed as public - that's car parks, farmer's fields, even your drive if it's long enough and doesn't have massive gates barring entry. And that means you can be done for any traffic offence while not actually on a road.

Also, the police can go onto private property and still stop you riding if they think you're being a nusaunce.

You can blame Thatcher and her absolute hatred of raves and travellers, and those little theiving pikey ****s on mopeds and 'crossers.

Re: The UK sucks.

all the government have to do is set up a training grounds on a quiet runway somewhere, ensure people have stock cans and PL insurance and set out designated areas, people will pay for that, i will for sure... my local runway is big enough to ride at without annoying anyone i swear (with stock can) so all they gotta do is let people pay to use it, they make more money and we can actually ride.. surely if they ensure everyone has PL insurance then they can't be sued or anything either can they? not sure how it works but it cant be hard to set up, they could prob even have an ambulance at the ready who knows.

i like that in america you can talk to the local factory owner and get permission, sign a liability waiver and ride to your hearts content

Re: The UK sucks.

I'm begining to think the answer might lie with another bike.. something like a 2 stroke 125 supermoto.. something real cheap to buy and insure, DT125 maybe.. can just go out into countryside and wheelie everywhere.. then ride the big bike when I can get the time off to go to the good spot etc.. would mean loads more riding, I doubt theres much chance of meeting police right out in the countryside... ?? I used to ride the KTM out there with no problems, but taken f4i out and the roads are too cambered/bumpy/narrow really for the f4i

Maybe even a DRZ400 they're pretty cheap but bit more power..

When I had the KTM I could ride pretty much whenever wherever.. I love the f4i and won't sell it but I just wanna stunt more often. THink another cheap motard might be the way forward.

Re: The UK sucks.

I used to on the KTM, could ride that every day for hours without any hassle.

I've taken the f4i to those sorta places and the roads are too narrow, bumpy, dusty/muddy or cambered to get any decent practice in... so I been thinking of getting a cheap ish motard to practice on during week and ride the f4i at the good spot when I can + other events etc etc.. that way I wouldn't be out of practice and personally I think motard stunting is really cool anyway... circles on a motard rock

just gotta find some money for it... then I'll hit the woods day in day out..

uurrrmmm, False plates, Alleys, Subways, Parks? they all funnily enough make good shortcuts, not that I would promote that sort of thing but c'mon!
I think the fact of them also carrying guns as well puts me off a little, aren't the gendermarie armed as well??

im banned for three years and made to retake tests... im riding twice a week on spots that took guts and time to get.... when i went to music college years ago an 84 year old jazz player (oscar peterson trio) took a class... he was 84 and still writing and playing great music... at one point he stood up looked around the class and said in a very stern voice "what ever you do NEVER GIVE UP"!
