Music & Movies

This has been a question I've been wanting to ask for awhile. You guys who makes movies that you sell, what do you do for the music? Do you "borrow" it from artists or do you hook up with local artists to get their tunes out there? I'm just curious as to what goes on.

We have a hookup from a record label for our DVD, but for web videos and stuff most people just "borrow" a song from a known artist.

Thanks, I knew about the web videos, I was just curious about DVD's that you sell, thought you may be able to fly under the radar with that. What label is your hook up? How did you meet up with 'em?

Well, the streetbike video that CBO from Stuntusa.com released last year (I'm blocking on the name of it), did not have licensed music, and he seemed to make out okay....I guess it depends on who's hands it gets into....more than likely you'd be fine because stunting videos are not box office smashes, but you never know.

We are hooked up with bluntfacerecords.com , who we got through one of our guys production companies (Campbell Productions).

I think a lot of areas have websites dedicated to local bands....that would be a good place to start....I think most unknown artists would be more than willing to give you songs to use.
