Someone told me once.....
Some one told me once that Whole System Exhaust was a waist of money, he said that Slip On's are much better, because stock head pipes are big enough on most quads, and slip on's will save you some money but still give you a good sound. Is that true?
Also.....Which brand outta these sounds the best, and performs the best (in your opinion) HMF, Big Gun, Procircuit T-4, White Brothers R-4.
Thanks
Bryan

Re: Someone told me once.....
I haven't heard any besides my dg, but i like the way it sounds. Mine has the complete exhaust system. I think it's called the rcm (reverse cone m-something) system. They're like $180 new i think also. I also heard that slip ons are just as worth while as far as power as a complete exhaust, yet cheaper.
Re: Someone told me once.....
On a stock engine I would imagine that in most cases you won't see much of an extra gain out of a full pipe, and whatever you see probably isn't worth the extra money that could be spent on other stuff, so yeah, I'd just go with a slip on.
As you know, I'm happy with my T-4, but I don't have much experience with other systems so I can't say much. Andy has the Alba slip on and the gain was also very good.
Other than that, the only aftermarket systems I've really seen are the T-4's because Ryan, and Dan from our crew were running them also as you probably already know.
I like the looks of the Yoshi pipe the best, next to the HMF colored ones....but looks don't say much about how it performs...LOL. Andrew has a Yoshi pipe on his and he said that he prefers the sound of the T-4 I believe.

Re: Someone told me once.....
I had an HMF on my warrior, thing fell apart while I was beating the **** out of it one day. I think the single bolt holding it down loosened and fell out (like 90% of the bolts on that *******). I bought a DG Chromepower and that thing was built STRONG thing weighed a ton but never dented or got messed up at all.'
Moral of the story: never buy a warrior

Re: Someone told me once.....
Dont be one of those guys that thinks louder is better. And think that taking the packing out of your silencer adds power. And it depends on the quad you have. Sometimes stock is the best. Sometimes it is a total crap box.
Re: Someone told me once.....
i got an HMF comp system on my 250ex an i love it. it looks trick, has a real throaty sound to it, and really helps out on the mid range and top end. slip on will definetly help open up the engine probly not as much as a comp system. if you want the cooler sound and dont care as much about performance then go wit the slip on but if you want the performance go wit the comp series.
