Police and laws in your state
I was just wondering what the laws of other states are..for atv's....up here in vermont..you can't even ride on hardly anyroads without getting bitched at.
. I hearded that other states atv's are legal as long as you are goin the speed limit, and not blowin doughnuts or anythin....What's your state like?...........

I've only got pulled over once..
Well I saw him and his light bar (not on) came into view and I pulled over.. my vision is hazy at distances even with contacts. So he asked me how old I was, I lied and said I was 16.. did I have a license and I said no.
He says don't you know that your not supposed to have those on the road and I told him yes but please don't arrest me.. I'm not going to arrest you, just stay off the roads or else it's a $500 fine.

They suck here in Ma... Here are the stupid laws:
-Must ride in your own yard, or have written and dated permission with contact info. to ride on someone else's property.
-Must be registered, unless riding on property for which you have permission for doing so. (Kinda doesn't make sense, you don't need to register it to ride in the "legal spots")
-Must be registered to PUSH across or down the street. If not, you will be towed to your house or the impound, at the officers discretion.
-If caught on town or state property, you will be towed or impounded regardless of registration.
I hear in Western Ma. towards Conneticut there are "legal" state trails, however that is 2-3 hours away from. Never been, I'd rather drive 1hr to the track.

Some (dirt) roads are open to registered atv's but very few.
Cops around here don't have a lot to do other than traffic duty so if you are on the road you can imagine you are gonna get caught. Small area too so normally people rat ya out....sucks...but oh well....laws are laws. I avoid breaking 'em if I know there is a good chance of getting caught.....can't afford it right now.

i live in a small town and we got one cop whom we are in good terms w/. Lol, one of these days I think hes gonna put his foot down. If I keep up the 55 mph wheelies entering town in a 25.
But you can't ride it on the roads but you can ride at private tracks w/out having registration. We got lots of other places to ride at if you do have a registration tho.
