Dont do it on a quad. Buy a dirt bike if you have to. How many successful stunter can you find on Stuntlife that perform on quads. READY GO

 

hey man a quad is one of the best ways to start out stunting. the biggest thing you need to learn is brake control, and a quad is the best way to learn with out killing yourself or costing you alot of money.

 

Dude if you really stunt there's no way you can honestly say that brake control on a quad is the exact same as a bike. Balance, weight, responsiveness, balance point.... - All different. You know that if he learned on a quad and then went to a bike, he'd spend six months learnin the same **** all over again. He's not gonna wreck any less than if he started on a bike. Everyone wrecks, hard. Anybody can learn brake control too, its not some secret thing you're born with, you gotta learn it, why would you learn on a quad just to switch gears and go to bike that is completly different. Because its costs money? I dont buy it, thats the sport of stunting dude. Its not just about the wheelies. Its about wreckin and breakin ****, meeting new friends and new hook ups for parts, learnin how to work on bikes and doin it your self, spendin nights on end setting up your bike the way you want it and knowin what the **** you're doin. You may even learn some of that on a quad but why? why not just get a bike and start from scratch like evryone else? why waste the time of learnin on a quad? Just my opinion, I honestly dont hold anything against guys who ride quads, if thats all he's got or thats all he can afford....****, do it up. But there's ways around both of those things. There's guys out there that started on quads and are sick now - **** I remember seein Joe Molina on a quad before I saw him on a bike and he has done fine - but those kinda guys are few and far between, and I bet if you asked Joe if he wishes he'd spent all that quad time on a bike, he'd say yes. I dont know, but if someone is tryin to be a legit stunt rider and take the sport seriously, quads just seem like ************ without payoff to me.

 

JoeT is a GENIUS!!!!! I don't see why people say go get something different to learn on.. When I started i just so happen to have a Fiddy, a mean quad, and a big bike, and I gotta say not one of them were even remotely alike... BP is WAY diff. Brakes are WAY diff. Engine brake, weight distrubution... I could see telling a noob that so they understand the basics a little more. But if they don't have the common knowledge of the sport they shouldn't be starting yet anyways...

Stoppie- go fast, grab brake, pucker up your butthole

Wheelie- go slow, grab clutch, gun it, dump clutch

hey man i said that because im pretty shure this guy is young, and look at the quad he has. learning to rip some little wheelies on a quad is the best thing for him i think. but hey thats just me.

well i was readin on another forum to hold the brake down then gun it

 

load the shifter......thats what i did on some little auto kawi dirt bike and it worked......but its seriously pointless for learning anything just fun to **** around on

 

Dude its notta dirt bike n y would u **** a fo wheeler naw jk but serously its a fo wheeler and also movin the shifter on a auto messes up the transmission
