How would a Yamaha Blaster be for stunting

im looking for a cheap fast fun quad to mess around on. is a blaster with some mild port work, reeds and an exhaust and good to stunt with?

I guess you could stunt one...hope its a newer model though and not the old ones with the junky mechanical rear disk brake

i had one, there decent. its a little tricky because its two stroke, and its twitchy but if you can get that down your golden. my rear brake worked fine and it was 10yrs when i sold it.

they are fun as hell to stunt! you'll get used to the 2stroke-ness easy enough, not a big deal. if its a newer model with that oil injection bullshit, take that crap off and just use premix, if you start doin long tall wheelies, the oil wont get squirted in correctly and you'll run lean...its not gonna seize up on you but it will shorten the life of the motor in the long run.

they are great little quads, and ideal for many people, but I would say that you would be better off picking up a cheap 400ex....you can find them for $1500 in good shape all day.

keep an eye out on craigslist and on sites like atvriders.com and i know you will find something within a couple hours from you.

i just think if you get a blaster you will get sick of it before you know it. there are plenty of people that blasters are ideal for though.

no luck with that 400 ex
saw a few blasters for less than 1500
