But were were ****** around slowwheelin and be real hard on that 12 bar. so i drug my self for a good distance and the bar was fuked when we were done. what im getting at do you guys run aftermarket scrape bar or will it hold up for a while. Do the frames tweak? I do have to say it was a fun change up from the bike. the nieghbors dont mind as much either!

Re: gorrila scrapin

the stock bars will bend and/or brake if you are hard on them. the stock ones are usually fine if you have good brake control and put it on the bar gentley (buy 'em off ebay $20 each). the frame will tweak if you slam it hard on a beefy 12bar though, just throw some gussets on the sub frame or make the bar so it extends almost all the way down the subframe so it distributes the force across the whole frame instead of just one point where it will bend or brake. personally, i've been going through stock bars faster than i would like so i'm gonna make a bar that extends down most of the subframe and also do a little re enforcement of the subframe...over kill, yes. but i'd rather have a little weight gain & have something solid than accidentally slam it back and have to buy a new subframe.
