A little help needed...
A little help needed...
New to quads but have had a bike for years. I am going to weld a scrape plate together out of flat stock and replace my grab handle with it. My question is would it be better to weld it to the sub frame or just bolt it on using the factory holes? Quad is a Kaw. KFX 700. Thanks for any input/help

Bigswig you will run into several issues stunting the 700. If you wheelie it for any distance at all it will starve the front cylinder for oil, load the airbox up with oil and suck it down the carbs. The front crank seal is also prone to leaking oil onto the belt which causes it to slip. There are mods you can do to prevent most of this - Do it and you will save some time and money.

Thanks for the input. I'm not really going to be stuntin the quad alot, just your wheelie now and again and have ripped my tail light off more than once already. the bike will be used primarliary for trail riding and mud but I would just like to add a scrape bar for when I get into one of my old stuntin moods.
Thanks again for the info.
:YEAH
Also, yes, it is an automatic

Re: A little help needed...
I'm running a desert grab bar from PRM on my KFX700 and I've scraped it several times. It seems to be super strong cause I've hit it before on a 60 mph wheelie before.:YEAH I've had my quad now for a year and I occasionally get oil in the air box. Oh and I hope you bought either Green or Orange because the limited edition plastics break super easy.
