TRX450R/Z400/400EX running @ 12
Does anyone know if the TRX450R stays running good straight up and down? Like if you tip it up on its back bar and just let it sit and run or riding on the 12 bar. will it stay running?
How about the Z400 and the 400EX do they stay rinnning good Straight up and down? like can you ride on the 12 bar or do they stall after a lil bit?

check your float height...if you bike does have a stall problem (regardless of make) you can adjust your float level to help this problem...super high performance machines wont run good in the lower rev's which is why that guy with the 440 is probably having problems (my 2 pennies)....

Tune the carb and play with the idle screw. It's all in how you tune it. My 400ex never had any problems and the z-4 I am running right now def doesn't have any probs.

Re: TRX450R/Z400/400EX running @ 12
There is a couple things I did to my 400EX to make it preform well on wheelies, if you going past bp, or are rolling no handers, turn the idle up, zip tie the overflow tube so it CANT let gas out. (you run a risk of flooding, but it saves gas) and before you pull off the trick TURN OFF the gas on your tank switch, because when you go past BP, the float trys to fill the float bowl up, even though is already full of gas, that causes the engine to flood. You'll have enough gas in the float bowl to pull off some really good distance no handers. You can run idle for a few minutes before the float runs out... When you come down from the wheelie, turn the gas back on for at least 20 seconds to refill the float bowl. Eventually you may start turning the gas on and off while riding the wheelie, I've found myself doing that to extend my trick time on the wheelie

??? you just contradicted yourself...the overflow vent tube is there for a reason....leave your gas on and leave the tube alone....the overflow tube prevents the carb from overfilling and flooding your motor...the correct way to fix this is to adjust your float height....then no worries ever after....

you want to lower your fuel height in the carb...bend the tab on the float toward the needle, just a hair. G/L
