Re: Handbrake??

You need to get a Y connector at the caliper end and another brake lever and cylinder assembly. The rest should be self explanitory

Re: Handbrake??

if your going fast enough in a coaster and slip the clutch out until it starts to grab you'll come down smooth when you get the feel for it, as long as your idle is down.

I learned ss coasters like this

I dont have a Hb on any of my quads, dont have one on my stuntbike either, soon to come to open up new bag of tricks.

Really dont see the need for it on a quad though if you can reach the clutch, worst thing thats gonna happen is you'll have to push it off the grab bar

I highly doubt it. Off seat/ off peg coasters means that you need to use the clutch and the handbrake at the same time. Explain how you would do that without a handbrake?

Re: Handbrake??

I agree that Hb opens a new bag of tricks but im just saying its not nec. to learn off peg coasters on a quad, Im sure it will make it easier but i learned just by working the clutch, I learned to release it while in a coaster enough that the engine brake catches enough to keep you off the bar, but not enough to slam you down, leanrned it easy on the 400's
