I have a 04 ZX10R that I just put a cage and sub cage. Now I'm looking to get handle bars but I dnt want clip on's. I much rather have dirt bike handle bars but I'm having no luck finding the top triple tree riser set up.

New at stunting :-| any one plz point me in the right direction

Try LSL and if they don't make a kit u could always just get dirt bike clamps and drill holes in your stock clamp

 

Drill Holes and mount some clamps....

(Not a ZX triple but this is what I did)

 

Nice idea guys thx to both of you for the idea. I will look and if I dnt find any I will try the dirt bike clamps. So exited to get me some bars. That's all that's keeping me from stunting it :-)

 

ive got some oversized pro taper risers i can ship you. shoot me a text 856-392-7081. i crashed my bike and was running tag risers, so these pro tapers(exactly what you want) are my extras i never used because i ran a hohey 3tree and u need tag risers with it and i bought pro-tapers not knowing, so i have an extra set. i got no use for them since my bike is toast so ill hook you up

 

for my streetfighter i used plain ol dirtbike bar risers and drilled through stock tripple then just bolted on (with spark plugs)

 

This is my triple tree. It has these holes all ready. But they are not a perfect round hole. Do u think I might have to weld them shut a bit so the risers dnt slide around?

get an 03/04 636 top triple then drill it. hohey makes a triple tree for both 03-06 636's that should mount right up to a zx10, its machines to put clip ons on top without having to lower and it also comes with the pre drilled holes for dirt bar clamps. there expensive but thats what your looking for. on another note why would you want to stunt a 1k? just kinda curious as noone does nowadays, your gonna destroy that bike if your not very good at stunting already

this is what your looking for. says 03-08 636 but i think forks are the same but not sure why they wouldnt list it on zx10r page if thats the case so i cant answer that for ya

 

I finish putting in my pro taper risers and renthal fat bar. I like how it feels! I'll have pics up soon. And @ Stubbs; I can do wheelies have for a while went from a klx 650 enduro to a ninja 750 and them a gsxr600 and now zx10r and I just feel like I can handle the bike. To me it feels like a 600, im 6'3" 225lb so I just feel less cramped up on the zx10r.

 

assumin your just street stuntin it then and faster stuff, havent seen a 1k in the lot in years.

 

No no street stunting. An yes taking it to the lot for some slow idle wheelies.

Just make sure the nut and washers are properly braced underneath. If not, one good hit and the triple will crack.
