Re: Flat track racing?????

I know two weeks ago a guy got to inside and his front tire hit the tractor tire that outlined the inside corner and broke his femur in half. My buddy Luc has his banshee lowered out for it as well.

Ouch.... bad luck for him... but no matter what you are doing there is a chance you will get hurt pretty bad.

BAscily you are racing a circle very fast and with very little protection. Good for a adrenaline rush.

gus its a lot like ice racing. You'll wanna lower your quad, you can probably run those street tires you have, and definately put a sway bar on the front. you'll probaby wanna raise your gearing up a bit too so you can wind out more on the straights.....i've never done it but it looks like fun We'll hopefully be doing some ice racing this winter to and that can get you some experience in flat tracking.

Re: Flat track racing?????

I was into it and for 2 years local. There is verry few venue's with flat trackin. It is different than tt and there are fewer races around, but getting better. Pretty dangerous but i love that :YEAH Wide open inches away from a chain link fence bumping elbo's and fighting for a good line. Did it on a 883 harley for a year too

There are alot of tt races to enter though.
pm me and i'll tell you about bike set up

Better start training it's a work out

Re: Flat track racing?????

I have a friend that does, and I have been looking into it.
I want to run the mile at springfield.

Run a harley, they just kick the crap out of those Rotax motors...

There is a gurl from MI that races and is bad azz.

Look up AMA flat track on the net and you should be able to get some venue info and better ideas of who to talk to in the industry.

i just bought a raptor that was ice raced, ive never done it.. but my wheeler had been widened alot... wheel spacers front and rear( not a fan of spacers) and the front even had the rims flip flpped as well as spacers.. and every guard and skid plate that was on the quad was gone... every little bit of weight counts i guess...

Re: Flat track racing?????

I'm doing it, fairly successfully I might ad.

I know a "few things" but it's easier if you're more specific. What do U want to know?

Meanwhile, here's a couple of pics on my Quad: (Run the same setup on ice as I do on TT/Flat Track, except for the tires of course. )

Me and my son from Ice Practice:

Finished third at this race.

It should be a bit lower, waiting for a new setup och shocks to fix this.

Funnest racing ever in my opinion I love the ****!
Bang tires, roll people over, rip wheelies for the crowd. One of the funnest things on earth! And fairly eaisy and not to hard on your body like mx.
