This weekend I dumped my 400ex doin a 3rd gear highchair and broke my grab bar. So anyone got some ideas??? I was thinking of cutting what is left off with a torch and inserting a grab bar that bolt in. The down side to that is I have to drill on my subframe. If anyone has better ideas I would love to here it. Or if anyone wants to tell me how big of a ***** I am for not buying an aftermarket grab bar befor I ruined mine thats cool to.

If it just snaped and you still have the piece just hammer a peiece of round stock into your sub frame on each side and then cut it off to the desired length and hammer the grap bar end onto the two peices of round stock then weld or clamp, good as new and way stronger and all for about $5 of metal

 

cut the mounting off of your stock bar and weld a custom one to the bracket, or if it'll fit i got one for a 300ex if itll fit you can have it for the shipping......

 

Got a welder ? I could cut the pieces you need maybee ??

 

MINE DIDNT BREAK YET BUT WHAT IAM DOING IS IAM GOING TO CUT MINE OFF,AND BOLT ON A FAT 12 BAR JUST LIKE THE BIKES HAVE.BY BOLTING ON THE BAR RATHER THAN WELDING,I CAN NEVER REALLY DO THAT MUCH DAMAGE TO THE FRAME OR SUBFRAME.IAM GOING TO USE CHEAP BOLTS JUST INCASE IAM IN A HIGH CHAIR AND SLAM BACK LIKE YOU DID.THE CHEAP BOLTS WILL BRKE BEFOR THE 12 BAR AND THE SUBFRAME DO.SO SLAM DOWN ON THAT BAR AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE.YOU KNOW THAT THE BOLTS WILL BRAKE BEFORE THE SUBFRAME DOES.12 BARS FOR BIKE ARE CHEAP.YOU CAN GO EXPENSIVE AND GET A REALLY NICE ONE TOO.ALSO THE ONES MADE FOR BIKES ARE NICE AND WIDE,MAKING IT EASIER TO STUNT.

THE AFTERMARKET GRAB BARS ARE MORE FOR LOOKS AND BELONG ON A RACED OUT QUAD...AGREE?AFTER ALL WE ALL BEAT THE **** OUT OF ARE GRAB BARS.

 

Quit slamming it on the bar just set it there nice and easy

^^^ I think when they said aftermarket grab bars they didn't meen like a 6 pack rack or something they were talking about a 12 bar

 

yeah they were,BUT THOSE ONE MADE BY DG ARE ALUMINUM,AND YOU WILL TEAR RIGHT THROUGH THAT.

 

IDK some of them are okay you just gotta be a little gental and keep your on the bar tricks to a minimum or learn to get them of the bar
