250r build up

My buddy has a 250r three wheeler like an 86. What do i need to convert to a 4 wheeler and specifics like what kind of frame that motor will fit we can do minor fabrication so if u know something close to what might work those suggestions might help as well any help would be much appreciated asap b4 i kill my self on 3 ****ing wheels

pm 450r stunter.. he has a bunch of 250r parts... both 3 and 4 wheel frames, engine, shocks,etc...
hit him up... ull be glad u did...

they're used to be kits to convert them. honestly you would be ruining a classic. with the conversion they handle like crap. just something to think about.

There's still some morons out there who swear that 3 wheels are safer than 4 (no offense to anyone, I just don't get it) maybe you could sell it to one of them?

I agree def. a classic I'd try to find out how much it is worth before you take it apart.

it's not worth a life i know that much. he definetly rather have the 4th wheel anyway seemyzwheelie appreciate the hook up

i was gonna put an 03 gixxer thou motor(puttin out somewhere around 190 horseis) on a shifter kart chasis....that would be much worse than a 3 wheeler...

some people i know from northern IL have gixxer motors in quad.s. one has a busa 1300 in a raptor 660r frame and the other has a 1000 in a ds650 i beleive... they both have i beleive like +10 and higher swingarms tho.. and go through tires everytime they ride.. i beleive the raptor does well they were at silver lake( few weeks or so after it was built) and he was running it up i beleive comp hill and well he had busted the shifter off in 2nd.. he was gonig u pthe hill and was hitting i think close to 90 in 2nd... with stil la few thousand rpms

u can put the atc250r stuff in a 86-89 trx 250r frame and get the front end for the trx 250r aswell. conversion kits are garbage.

i have the atc250r, i wouldnt switch it to a quad

i was in the same boat for a while i got a mint 87 250r frame motor all wiring and tons of parts but its just too much of a headache for me so i went and bought a 450r and sunk some cash into that and jimmah is right they handle like **** when you convert them

Take the motor out sell your frame buy a 250x frame off ebay for $100-200 and be a sleeper after a little custom moding
