What abou asphalt tires? Anybody know of a dealer/tire shop/online resource that sells asphalt style tires to fit on ATV rims? I'd rather not ruin a set of holeshots (excellent turf and light sand tires) if somebody sells some slicks of some sort.

you're the man! I didn't find the tires, but I DID find some pertinent information on the first page.

"I did end up buying a Suzuki LT230 quad sport with a DN400 engine in it"

Excellent. That's the numbers I was looking for. Now, off to find quad tires...

k.... #1... Scelvea...you never help anybody... you are a moron! Eat **** and die!

#2...doc_rock.... a good way to go for street tires would be a set of flat track Hoosiers. You can find them in almost any quad mag out there. They don't have traditional nobbies, but rather grooves in them like a car tire. They lay flat across a smooth surface and would be ideal for running on the street.

yeah, you did help me. I've got a spare 230 frame laying around, and I was wondering what engine would fit in it. Going through the boneyard witha measuring tape was a pain in the ***. But I found the DN400 thing looking for tires, and did some searching to find that it'll fit in the 230 with only minor modifications. Yeah, a 400cc Quad Sport 230.

CVBz: Thanks for the tip. This sucks. All the bike stunters can pick up tires out of the tire bin, I'm going to have to buy mine. Team account time!

Ideal, YES. But, they are super expensive, are made of pretty soft rubber, and the pavement will eat them up. Did I say they were expensive? $95 a peice. For stunting just run a set of junk tires.

I knpow the 230 is light as hell, that's why I've got two of 'em and stunt one. (The other is for parts). Thing is frickin' ridiculous, but it's stable and light.

Still, a 400cc on a 230 frame would be a blast.....

Yeah It's not as easy as getting motorcycle tires to stunt on. It's hard to find a race take off for a quad!!
