Re: Leaving a trail of gas?

its a honda thing... and yamaha...lol
nah, u can try to block off the tube, but it ends up flooding the quad...
its the run-off from your float bowl... when it gets too "filled", it comes out that tube...
when you are riding a wheelie, the floats stay wide open, as tho there is absolutly no gas in the bowl... so, as gas comes pouring in full force, it needs to go somewhere, so it escapes thru that tube... hence the **** trail behind all your wheelies...
sux, but what can ya do. If you try to correct it, it will affect how your quad runs the rest of the time...

Re: Leaving a trail of gas?

now can i take that line and hook it to the vent line going into the top of the gas tank? you know that small hose
you think that would work?

I don't think so, If that is even plugged wit mud it wouln't run. It needs to be vented for the gas to flow.

Re: Leaving a trail of gas?

ok my buddy has a 250ex and his did the same thing TILL we thought of a idea. all u have to do is get a empty pop bottle and poke a hole in it the size of the fuel line at the bottem and make another small hole next to it to get some air in it and if it fills it will leak. then on a 250 ex all u need to do is zip tie it on the the Swing arm with the cap facing the wheeles. then all u do is put the line in the hole and it will go into the bottle. dont put the zip ties on 2 tight becuse u have to take it off and put it back in the tank (saves money on gas 2). that should solve it

I dont ride a quad but I was thinkin. Hook everything up how yall are saying but take the vent line that goes to the tank and put it in the bottle too. So the line is in the fuel when doing a wheelie but you would also need a vent so air could flow into the bottle as the gas flowed into the vent line into the tank by the vaccume it creates as the gas lowers in the fuel tank. Yall get what i am meaning that way you wouldnt have to take the bottle off and pour it in the tank as often or maybe not at all. It would do it for you. I am pretty sure this would work.
