Re: PSI for tires

yea lower is always better. make sure you got a gauge handy though, cuz if they're uneven, your wheelies will pull to which ever side has less air.

Re: PSI for tires

hey bigfugginred, my 350 Raptor has an HMF sports pipe and a K@N filter. i raced my buddies quads ( a yfz, trz450r, and 400ex) the yfz and 450r dusted me a little bit off the start of the drag. my buddy tim has a brand new 400ex(2005) just like my raptor. well, with all those accesories, i slaughtered him off the start. we were about equal midrange, and then he beat me by about 3/4 to 1 full quads length. the 350 raptor is much faster than the old warrior. it has a bigger carb, modified engine, lighter exaust, and it weighs about 30lbs less. so the 350 raptor can beat a warrior, but it will lose to a 400ex. a pipe will do wonders to it, especially in the low end range. i suppose if you geared it differently you could hang with the 400's with ease.

Re: PSI for tires

I use to run about 10-12 pounds in my tire's each. But one night me and josh were practicing slow stuff in his driveway, and he made me lower my tires, and it made a big difference for the slow stuff, but I rather have my tires harder for fast stuff.

0 w/ good side walls can turn like a dream
on the other hand for circle wheelies on 20" tire w/ 15lbs and one 15" tire flat.

For your Precision needs get a digital tire gage
