alright i have a trx 250 ex it is slow as **** hase a auto clutch and is 100% stock its a 02 or 01 and i wanna try and make it faster and better suggestions?

 

Typically the first thing to change is a pipe/filter/jet kit. This will run probably 300 or so and you will probably gain about 5 hp. If you want it to get up and go quicker, get a front sprocket that is 1 tooth smaller than stock. If you want it to go faster, and dont' really care about bottom end, you can go 1 up on the front. This ought to get you started. You might also get a set of nerf bars and an aluminum front bumper, but these are mainly cosmetic unless you ride in a lot of trees or do a lot of jumping or stunting.

 

Sell it and buy a 400, I have both and I like the 400 way more. Clutch, more power, etc...just my

 

I have a 250ex with a fmf exhaust, fmf jet kit , and twin air filter, tusk nerfs that i'm getting ready to sell but i can sell u all the aftermarket stuff but it will be this summer ... movin to a 05 Z400 :YEAH

 

id apply a FMF sticker if your gonna jump it, that will give you more height in your jumps (if you have a FMF stickers you have wings and now you can fly) and if your more into speed you could rock out one of those awesome fox racing stickers, im sure you can find both at your local zumiez skate board shop.lol



(just a note: i find it amussing that a skateboard shop sells sweatshirts for a company that makes shocks, and to the best of my knowledge they don't make any shocks for skateboards.)

ok first off u wanna get your self a set of OMI a-arms then you wanna get a HMF pipe its the best 1 best ane out there or get 1 from bawldwin and if you get a sproket get a sidewinder sproket or u could check out www.omiproducts.com i am one of there sponsered riders (Doug559)

i agree, the HMF pipes are spectacular! i bought the sports edition one for my 350 Raptor, and it provides unbelievable low end power, and midrange power. it only cost around 240, and you can get it poweder coated almost any color for an extra $20. go to www.hmgengineering.com to check it out. typically, you may have to adjust the jet needle,fuel screw, and idle screw on your carb, but i didnt have to rejet mine. Also, go to www.rockymountainatv.com to buy yourself a K@N air filter ( i bought one for only $30 :YEAH ) these two things should help you out quite a bit, then you could consider a different sprocket,chain,and axle later. you can get all that stuff at rockymountain as well.

By the way, i know the pipe and filter work well for a fact b/c i just installed them on my raptor a day ago! good luck man

hmmmm direct drive WOW the SHAFT thats what you go the SHAFT I'm a honda guy too but the 250 is junk sry get a 300 or 400 or Z400 :YEAH

 

ya better to just move up unless the person on the 250ex is still learning..i would say a Z400 would work great

 

Sorry man but the 250 isnt junk, whats junk is puttin skis on a z400

 

the 250 is junk, its for little kids, and people who can't handle big machine, get a 300 or 400ex or a z400 don't be a *****, and if you lived up north where we get snow, like lots of it a tracks kit and skis is really popular and a good idea if you want to ride the trails.

 

hmm yea your right i guess i'll go take a siht! um maybe i just think it was designed wrong suzuki with tracks kit rocks so
