how do u do a wheelie?

--cluthch (pull the clutch in, rev the throttle, pop clutch and lean back)



--power wheelie ( rev it, and pull back)


--"pop" the gear ( shiftup, dont let up all the way, rev, and then drop the toe shift)


I personally like the power wheelie method because it is easier to find you balance point in my opinion

do you drop the clutch from a dead stop, or while in motion. My friend todd does high chairs just like you from a dead stop. I've popped wheelies in motion using the clutch and that seems to work for me

I was rollin slow

I can do them from dead stop, to a moderate speed.

Only 1st gear for highchairs though, cuz my quad is a TURD

i do the toe method where u lift up on the shifter dont drop it but rev it then drop .... not sure if its that good on the trans

yeah my friend has an auto clutch 4 wheeler (300ex) so he just pops the gears, and that seems to work for him. your probably right though, i dont think it is very good on the tranny

 

if im going slow and stuntin i clutch it, but just crusin around or high speeds pow pow power wheelie it up! i use em both about the same. (400 EX by the way)

i wouldn't suggest the pop-it method, definatly not good for the gears! unless you have an automatic then the (clutch) pop-it'll work.

clutching up a Quad is the easiest bike to learn on!
1) they won't loop, well wont loop easy
2) they're stable on the two rear tires
3) and usually have easy to reach rear brakes
good luck, take it slow, and be safe.

if you're not doing tricks, power wheelies are fine, buy i agree: clutch is perfect for tricks

 

I do both... if im on the trail, ill power it up to clear a whoop, but usually if im doin tricks (aka- stuntin...) I almost always clutch that turd right up...
Sometimes if im just messin around, i will power it up, or if i wanna start out slow, speed up, then slo back down, i might power it up to get some acceleration...

i have to say i try to dp power wheelies's more then clutch wheelies cuz i hate changing my clutch cuz it cost money and work but anything is good as long as you can get it UP! :YEAH

Get use to clutchin it up when stopped and lean back use your weight even your leg to bring it to balance point. Eventualy it feels so smoooth I don't think I'm doing any clutch damage.

If you just drop the clutch for your whellies you get more power to get the front up and it just happens quicker better and smoother but thats just my 2 Cents

 

for fast simple stuff i power... slow stuff where you need to keep as much of your gear in store as you can, i'm clutchin.

I say it just depends on how much power you have on tap, But I'm no pro on the pavement....I like the dirt.

When you get 380cc's of 2 stroke race fuel below you, there's no need for the clutch...I think I'd just hit the pavement if I clutched...lol

But when it was a 250 pump fuel I would have needed to clutch to bring it up at all...
