RIDE FOR ADAM
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26TH 2004

BENEFIT RIDE HELD IN HONOR OF ADAM B. WATSON
(8-29-1977 to 09-01-2004)

ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE “ADAM WATSON MEMORIAL FUND,� WHICH HAS BEEN SET UP AT ALL ROCHESTER US BANK LOCATIONS. THE MEMORIAL FUNDS WILL GOTO ADAM’S UNBORN CHILD’S TRUST FUND.

THE RIDE WILL START AND END IN THE PARKING LOT OF CYCLE PROS (HWY 14, EAST OF BRAODWAY APPROX 4 MILES) RIDE IS PLANNED TO START AT 11AM AND WITH 3 OR 4 SHORT STOPS WE SHOULD BE BACK IN ROCHESTER AROUND 3:30 – 4:00PM

(MAPS OF THE ROUTE AND STOPS WILL BE SUPPLIED.)

ALL WE ARE ASKING IS FOR A DONATION OF $20 or more FOR THE “ADAM WATSON MEMORIAL FUND.�

All KINDS OF MOTOCYCLES AND OTHER VEHICLES ARE WELCOME

WE WILL HAVE FOOD (BBQ PORK SANDWHICHES) AND DRINK (SODA AND WATER) AVAILABLE BEFORE AND AFTER THE RIDE. SO PLEASE STOP OUT EARLY AND VISIT. THIS PLANS TO BE A GREAT DAY AND A GREAT RIDE. ALONG WITH THE AWESOME ROUTE WE HAVE PICKED OUT, THE CHECK POINTS ALONG THE WAY HAVE DEDICATED SOME SPECIAL TIME AND DOOR PRIZES.

this really sucks but i guess we cant make it to the ride phil is going out of town . he will be home sun but we dont think we will make it in time to meet up for the ride

im gonna try to make it i have to be in st paul at six pm for work i have a few friends that will go to. hey goose was adam at the kline suzuki ride? i remember that bike in the pic of him doing a switchback. how far from st paul is it? :YEAH

 

Yes, Adam was at the Kline Suzuki Run he was the one we were waiting for before we left because he had to swap a rear tire.

Rochester is about 80 miles south of St. Paul. check out mapquest and you'll see, its a good 1 and a half from the cities even if you go 80-90 all the way there!

Jen, sorry you and Phil can't make it........if you can go to a US bank and donate to the fund for Adam's unborn baby and his girlfriend Keri. Thanks.

I'm leaving at 8:30 to be there by 10:00, then Shawn one of Adam's buddies is going to loan me his bike for the ride so I guess I'll be on two wheels after all. Then when the ride gets back, Joe Adam's best friend is going to let me do a one man Unsane Ryderz stunt show in the parking lot of Cycle Pros!!!!

what up guys its about 12 o clock :YEAH i wasnt able to go its too far and i wont make it back for work in time. ill donate still. hope everything goes well. good luck on that stunt show goose. let me know if alot of people show

 

Just got back from the Ride:

-Highway 60 is a racetrack just waiting for you.......this ZX-6E I borrowed has never been riden faster!

-ZX-6E's are pigs and hard to wheelie, but if you wack it hard and get it up fast you can ride it for about 1/2 mile or so before rev limiter.

-This was a tear jerker too, we stopped at the site where Adam went down for the last time. I couldn't help but ask myself how he was feeling laying in the ditch in pain, was he scared....did he think he would die....did he think this was his last and final crash. Lots of things went through my mind.

And to make it worse, this is the weekend my friend Wheelie Wade passed about 3 years ago.

So I did some crying this weekend. **** sucks! But he went down doing something he loved and he was happy!

this kind of stuff does make you sit back wonder huh??? but you're right, he passed away doin what he loved to do, and was happy. still sad though.

Sorry Goose i did not make it to the memorial ride for Adam on Sunday!! I had no bike after the last flood run, But i finally got it fixed and i havent called you back because i went back to California for a while, Well talk to you soon bro peace!!!
