stunt guru's slow shit need help.
stunt guru's slow **** need help.
hey quick question,
while 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies are great, id like to start practicing some slow ****. first is my setup
04 zx6r
-1 front +8 rear?
I was,up until today just +8 rear(that sucked)..... with the above setup you think slower speeds can be achieved. I feel like im working the bike to much, watching you guys your **** seems effortless and precise. hook a brotha up o wise stunt gods... btw kawasakis stock are a 15 up front and a 45 rear (sucks imo) no were near a stunt setup
last what ****in tire pressure you honkies running? looked pretty low to me from da back on 291 ...
Cant wait to meet again maybe this time take the helmets off and sing together.

Re: stunt guru's slow **** need help.
yea one more F**ckin question ...
going down 1 up front is like going up 3 in the back? sooooo if my 3rd grade mathe serves me proper..
-1 +8 = +11?????
why not just go +11 in back instead of dropping the front 1 then?
school me.

Re: stunt guru's slow **** need help.
what up. first off you can stunt the **** outta that bike with stock gearing. I got an 03 and tore it up stock. only reason why I went to -1 front +5 rear is for a little more engine break on highchairs, spreaders, seatstanders ect.
your theory is correct on the gearing, you coulda just put a bigger rear and left the front stock. To learn slow stuff yo just have to ride the **** outta the bike. some people need to wreck 20 times before they learn like I used to but some can pick it up easily. Learning how to coast it with pulling in the clutch will help you gain control. It will come with time
or I hear they are giving fast scary power wheelie instructions at airport road in hartford on wed nights. Just look for the guys leaning over there windsheilds like superman.
I was at that point before too. you just gotta respect the bike and learn with baby steps

dude,
i am not a good stunter but...i only have a ten up and my bike will go under five miles an hour.
your ratio is about right. 1 down is about 2.5 up.
as far as air pressure...the less you have the easier it is, to me anyways. some times i can't get the gauge to registar any air. as you get better, you can keep adding air to it.
clutch and brake control...but i am still learning that **** too. you just can't care about the bike, cause you are going to fall.

Re: stunt guru's slow **** need help.
a tooth in the front is equal to 2.5 teeth in the rear. some just go one or two down in the front so they dont have to get such a huge rear sprocket. im 13 up in the rear on the 600rr, but like greg said that is for a little more engine braking on tank wheelies and such. i actually learned to 12 and slow wheelie on one down two up gearing. in other words its not the bike its the rider. you just need to practice. oh yeah i run 15-20 psi depending on the tire.
Re: stunt guru's slow **** need help.
just some quick advice i hope you have a cage in the mail because you will be dropping your bike.....and when i was learning i found it easier after my first tail scrape.once you scrape the tail youll see how easy it is and slow wheelies will become involuntary....oh yeah and every mistake new riders make no matter how sketchy it seems do not take your foot off the rear brake even slamming it down is better than watching it tumble or runnind behind it at 20 mph....good luck homie.
