Which sprocket is better and why

I ordered a steel Sprocket Specialists sprocket but the company sent me a steel gold anodized JT sprocket. I called the guy up and he said the JT sprocket would last longer because it was anodized and was a better sprocket. Could you guys shed some light on which sprocket is better and why?

JT is the brand of sprocket. I've never heard of the company before. Well I'll use it and see how long it lasts.
