Heres Austins walmart junk. At first I thought it was almost good enough, except for the wheels and bearings that are more like bushings. But now the deck is starting to delaminate, its only 2 months old, and it really hasnt been abused yet.

Re: Track riding

Spent most of Saturday sanding this down to a 220 grit.....oiled the top 5-6 times.....gonna tape/stain/poly it this week. I ended up going with a 1 step minwax combo product instead of doing the stain and poly separate......anyone have any experience with that?

Never used it but if it's like poly, sand between coats. Poly does not form a chemical bond with previous coats so you want to help the mechanical bond as much as possible.

Sounds good....the website actually says to use steel wool.....interesting.

I was hoping to get away with one coat, but it looks like 2 is the way to go.....

edit: just watched the video and the guy says you can use 1 coat.....only add a second coat if you want a deeper color.....I guess I'll see what it looks like after one.

start by jumping off curbs, then move on to ramps the size of curbs. then slightly bigger, then milk crate size, etc.
im pretty confident i could double that distance with better rolling stock.
