Tools needed:
air nailer
compressor
roofing shovel
hammer stapler
chalk line
shingle cutter (if you want to make it really easy)
straight edge
utility knife
hammer
Supplies:
Ice and Water Shield
Tar Paper or other barrier
Starter Strip
coil nails
loose nails
shingles
Drip edge
I think that's it.

Excellent. Get a nail gun to save time. Do you have a compressor? Get a hook blade also for your knife.

Re: Does your bike work?
Foam insulation on your roof will help alot with conserving energy. It will keep your heat it in the winter and cool your attic down a little in the summer. and ya it will protect your knees when your putting down shingles.

edit- ok ya I'm an idiot, its only the garage.
