Re: I just got laid..

God damn I need some tools. Couple questions here... what socket size are cage bolts because everyone I have it too small to fit them, do I need an oil filter wrench to get that ****** off, because I can't find mine, and what are some other sizes I should have.

My bdays coming up in a couple of weeks so I'm gonna ask shorty to pick me **** up for my bday from Sears. I'm trying to compile a list of everything I might need to fix the f4i as I constantly break it.

So far I need:
hex driver set
breaker bar
27mm socket
22mm socket
12" adjustable wrench

Any idea on what kind of saw to get to cut the 12 bar / tubing?

Get these with a 3/8" drive:
common metric sockets. 8, 10, 12, 14. Deep sockets are better than shallow sockets.
metric hex bit set
at least 1 extender, but 2 or 3 would be better, you might need more than one to put the cage on.
a 10" or 12" ratchet

the 22 and 27 will only come with a 1/2" drive, which is good. Get a big breaker bar, like 18" or so, you dont really need a 1/2" drive ratchet but theyre good to have anyway.

also, definitely get a set of metric box wrenches, aka open end wrenches

you could get one set with everything listed but the majority of the tools in it wont be metric. if all you ever work on is japanese bikes then all you need is metric

oh yeah you dont need an oil filter wrench for the bike. the filter is pretty easy to get to and its ok to destroy the old one when taking it off. the new one should only go on hand tight, so no need for a wrench there

a saw for cutting metal is called a hacksaw, theyre $10

If it's really stuck on there just stab through the old one with a screw driver and twist to get it off.....

I read online that you can setup a dual boot system using Win7 and Ubuntu and that they work very well together. Just curious Scoot - all my Windows based programs - I'm assuming that I cant use them running Ubuntu or can I? Just wondering about that really coz I have a bunch of programs that I'd like to be able to use but not sure if I can. I'ma try installing one of my DVD Copier programs to see if that works. Ubuntu recognized my external hard drives which my MAC wouldnt so thats cool. Just tryna figure some **** out before my final decision this week for my main pc.
if there is a program for windows guarantee there is one thta is identical to run on linux - for free - just got to find it ... other option is run windows programs inside a linux application called wine:
http://www.winehq.org/

give linux some time - you'll never get a virus and never go back

all you gotta do is search for ripping dvd's ...

Linux is great, but it requires you really know your ****. Ubuntu is like linux with training wheels though. Neal, why the hell are you running a linux box anyway? I stick with XP at home, nix is for the servers at work.
