DAMN...shes hot!!
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
i wonder if theres an axle shaft connecting the 2 front diffs. id think there would have to be, or they wouldnt have differentials in there, which would make turning pretty tough. Ford is known for good ideas in their drivetrain parts, this thing is probably made to do one specific job that normal **** wont work for.

but at least it appears that white on white crime has finally been defined!!
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
If the "diffs" are just ring and pinion gears bolted directly to an axle to provide a 90 degree turn of rotational power only and no real "differential" function, and it is full time 4wd, that makes sense.

Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
and it wouldnt necessarily have to be full time 4 wheel drive if you disengage the transfer case with the center diff , yes the it would be like having locked hubs but thats not a problem if the two wheels arent connected buy an axle which i think is the case here
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
im under the impression this vehicle has a regular front/rear transfer case in addition to the one we're looking at.
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
Like a spool in the front end. Off road use only. Maybe you can lock in one or both front wheels from the transfer case. If you only lock in one you can turn better.
Re: DAMN...shes hot!!
just from the pictures i would say there is only one transfer case bolted to the back of the tranny and that has two drive shafts going to the front and one going to the back , the center shaft seems to be the input from the tranny
