i havent been following the conan thing. whats that about?

 

He took over Leno's show and he's not that funny and Leno wants his show back so they forced Conan out but they're paying him like 45 million to leave so he's pissed and spending as much of NBC's money as he can.....or something to that effect

 

They moved Jay Leno to 10 pm and gave Conan the Tonight Show. Ratings for both took a ****. They wanted to move Conan to 12:05 and give Jay 11:35-12:05 in a hope to boost ratings. Conan said **** you. I was promised the tonight show and that's at 11:35, not 12:05. So he's leaving.

I actually like Conan. Jay is the one who failed. He was in prime time against dramas and he failed. That killed the lead in for the local news. All of NBCs local news programs took a huge hit. These are the big money makers for the local stations as they don't have to split ad revenue with the network. The local stations were threatening to pull the Leno show if NBC didn't do something. This also hurt Conan because people don't change the channel. If they watch the CBS news because they were watching whatever was on before that, then they'll watch Dave Letterman after the news.
