I had to run down to the local Radio Shack for a capacitor this morning. I had a leaking capacitor in a power supply here at work. $1.70, little soldering and we were back up and running. While I was down there I swung into Sears. My drill press showed up this morning so now I have a new toy to play with tonight. Been a pretty good day so far.

Looks like the big Metal tour is coming to the US. But it's postponed right now while Tom Araya gets back surgery. It's going to be Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, and Anthrax. I'm not sure why Testament is on there instead of Metallica but I'm not a fan of anything Metallica has done since And Justice For All anyway. If this makes it to Mass. or closer, I'll be there.

This is true. Metal is pretty much the height of technical guitar playing. Guitar World magazine is probably two-thirds metal guitarists.
