that's a good idea...that's going to be the first time I'm going to do that. I'm just clutching up sitdowns right now. I haven't even tried staggered even though that might be easier. I dunno, should I try clutching up staggered too? Or keep practicing sd's. It's not like I'm even close to bp.

Foot in bar is also harder to get your foot out to bail. I would stick to staggered and sitdowns for now.

[quote=Dirty Jerzey Alie;2719377]. just rolling on the throttle really hard does nothing for me. quote]
It doesn't do anything for any one. You have to pull on the bars to make it happpen. My F4i is +10 and if I roll on it really hard it will lift the tire a couple inches. You have to either wack it open or drop the throttle, let the forks drop, then wack it open again.

DONT power wheelie your bike. What would Gil say if he saw you doing that? Think how dishonored and shamed he'd feel.

for me, i actually had an easier time getting fib balanced than staggered. my first successful scrapes on the katana were foot-in-taillight spot

I agree. I will power wheelie my bike in 3rd from time to time, but it's only funny if you can wheelie the right way and you are going it in an ironic way to poke fun at squids.

He was actually watching me clutch it up for 1/2 an hour, pulled me to the side and said, why don't you just power wheelie the damn thing and get to the bp.

He demonstrated on the rr and I tried to copy...except she no go up on one wheel before i ran out of lot. he watched me try a couple of times and then mentioned I should roll on the throttle again when i heard vacuum...but go figure i couldn't grasp the concept and went back to clutching...felt comfy already.

I learned staggarded with idle. FIB is way more stable and easier to steer IMHO, but if she clutches it up to hard and can't bail becuase her foot is stuck I'd feel bad for telling her to do i tthat way.
