At least its keepin me semi-entertained, as I sit here bored off my mind waiting to go to work ...


What's with SL today ... so slow

 

The contractor I spoke with said that last year he had nearly 500 employees and today he has about 80+ left. I don't know enough about the stability of the banking industry in Texas to speak intelligently about it but one thing is sure.....a lot of them are going down.

I was just curious to see if the construction industry up there is hurting as badly as the the construction industry in Texas. There are too many factors to speculate on the why of it all. I find it interesting because I work in equipment services in the finance industry. It gives me a lot of insight as to how growth is declining in my region.

construction here has gone down significantly this year. I would think that maine wouldnt get hit as hard by the poor economy. The housing boom probably didnt boom as much up there as it did everywhere else, since no one wants to live there anyway.

 

+1 and the one day it was sunny this weekend I got sun poisoning while working.....

I've worked for a lawncare company for the past 10+ years......I used to work for him full time and now I just work Saturdays under the table......we did all of the Pelham schools on Saturday......
