There's a fix for the home screen.

On the menu at the top left, click on MORE, then drag STATUS UPDATES to the top, above NEWS FEED. After dragging to the top, click on it. That becomes your default and HOME is like before.

you can also go to live feeds and scroll all the way down, click edit options and change it from 250 to 5000......that way you get all of them and not the random selection FB makes for you.....
