who is PAR???
Re: who is PAR???
i was doing awesome with fiber before the kids went away for the summer...since then i've went downhill. i need to cut the caffeine again and increase the fiber and vegtables....i'm good with lean meats. it's so hard for me to eat leafy greens because i won't make salads to eat at home.
Re: who is PAR???
scoot....lately i've been eating really good. for dinner i eat a smart ones by weight watchers, but i want to convert over to eating a 'regular' dinner like everyone else....how much should i kick up my exercising. right now i do the treadmill for about an hour a day total (i'll do it for 30 minutes here, 30 minutes there), i lift a 3lb weight throughout the day, and occasionally i'll do leg lifts and sit ups. i probably don't need to increase it that much, i just need to watch how many calories i take in, right? i'm so good with diets, i suck at this toning up crap, but it's time i do it!
try to eat carbs other than veggies only after exercise, things like oatmeal and sweet potatoes are really good
take fish oil pills (omega3) - they help your body reduce inflammation and helps burn fat calories ... might also help a little with your neck ...
try a calorie calculator ... they figure out what you need daily - that will be a rough estimate that will maintain your current weight, then adjust down from there, start at about 300-500 calories under what is recommended, that will safely lose weight. i find it easiest to keep a food journal so you really keep track of what you are taking in ... this calorie calculator will show you estimates for weight maintenance and loss ... http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm

She asked.
Google them, obviously with exercise or a bunch of **** will come up for "squats"
It's solid advice, what you do with it is up to you.

Re: who is PAR???
p.s. you are right about trying to convert to a regular dinner ... those frozen meals are really high in sodium and preservatives, which tend to make people bloated ... try to drink a lot of water daily too ...
here is one other link i like to show people, basically if you can try to model your diet after this you will feel good, and be healthy - plus the "cleaner" you eat the more you can actually eat without putting weight on ...

Re: who is PAR???
yep it's all about calories, if you want to cut weight you need to run a calorie deficit ... try to limit your sugar and carb intake, only eat healthy carbs (veggies and stuff that is low on the glycemic index) http://www.glycemicindex.com/

i would say stick right around 1300-1400 calories a day for now, if you are excercising every day you will be good ...
here is a way to estimate your calories: http://www.thecaloriecounter.com/
take the fish oil with fats, probably around 1g epa/dha a day total ...
motivate yourself, say to yourself "i am eating healthy and exercising to make sure i am healthy and life a long life for my kids"
Re: who is PAR???
yes i do, but i try to stay away from store bought stuff because it is just "extract" and usually has added sugar ... i like to brew my own, like a gallon and then just throw it in the fridge ... i will sweeten it with stevia and a little honey and real lemon ... green tea is reeeeaaally good for you and you can get a little caffeine fix from it too
Re: who is PAR???
Re: who is PAR???
the reason i ask is because i buy the crystal light green tea packages you put into water bottles...that website listed green tea as a 20 power food and it said to use real green tea and not tea bags...wtf does that mean? how else are you suppose to make green tea? are they suggesting i buy green tea by the bottle or something?

I don't know about your fridge, but mine cools stuff down. I assume Scoot's does the same. it really doesn't matter hot or cold.
Re: who is PAR???
One cup of coffee isn't bad for you as long as it isn't 32oz and you don't add a ton of cream or sugar. Recent studies show that a cup of black regular coffee is good for you as long as you aren't over doing it with super sized servings or super-sugared cappucinos.
