As usual, I cant decide to vote for. both sides say the other guy ran a company that outsourced jobs to overseas. neither side has anything good to say about themselves, at all.

 

i've been debating between the guy who put a cap on BP's liability and cheated on his wife with prostitutes while saying the other side is anti-family, and the guy who's much too loose with the budget. i'm thinking about not voting for anyone.

 

I am a libertarian - but voting for any of those candidates is just like waisting a vote ...

I hate that the dems and republicans are pretty much guaranteed a win. I hate throwing my vote away because it usually helps the candidate that I hate the most. Our republican candidate for governor this year is scary. Yet, he's leading the polls. Luckily our independent candidate (that seems like the best choice to me) has been gaining on him hard. I really didn't want the democratic candidate but she would have been better than the republican.

Paul LePage (our republican) was on the national news this year for some of his quotes. The most often heard one being, "You'll see a lot of headlines saying Governor LePage tells Obama to go to hell". He wants to cut everything, get rid of laws that stop companies from raping the land, ban abortion, make sure gay people can't get married, and abolish welfare. Not just an overhaul, he wants to get rid of welfare all together. The tea party lunatics are eating it up.

On a funnier note, I saw an article the other day that said Palin was the biggest ally of democrats. All the democratic candidates are trying to link their opponents to her.

 

I'm just voting the incumbents out.....which in MA pretty much means voting Republican.....I'm ok with that though.....Duval Patrick needs to go!!

The republican party need to distance themselves from the tea party nut jobs and Palin....I love it though anytime I've said I was a republican or voting republican every douche bag dem automatically assumes I'm on board with either of those....they are so simple minded it's sad.....

so many repubs backed both that it's almost logical to make that assumption, especially support for Palin. hard core repubs loved her. then again hardcore dems and repubs would love satan if he claimed their respective party; they are so simple minded it's sad

 

His stance is that it's not possible for business to thrive with current environmental restrictions. There's been nothing new for years.

 

It's funny, the more friends/family/acquaintances I talk to the more I realize that so many think it's either R or D ... and when they talk about their views it almost coincides perfectly with those of Libertarians but so many people don't even realize it's a party or what their stances on issues are lol.

 

I wish there were no parties at all. I try to vote for the candidate that agrees with the issues I do. I just hate that every candidate must toe the party line and push it's agenda. I want fiscal responsibility but I also want gay rights. If there weren't any parties maybe a Libertarian candidate would have a chance in an election. Right now it's either a republican or democrat. Those are your only choices. At least in Maine we've had an independent Governor before.
