**** ... so it looks like the holes for the studs on the rim were beat open by the studs ... they look bored out ... will it even be safe to run that rim still

If the rim can rotate you run a higher risk of it happening again.

I'm normally not one for Wranglers, but I saw a bad *** one this morning. Brand new Rubicon, metalic green with blacked out hardware, black monster XD rims around 20's, 35" tires, lift to match, and a soft top that made the rear "window" slope forward to meet the rool bar. It looked mean as hell.

The smallest 24's they have are 37's. You need 6" of lift or cut out fender flare to clear them.
