I mean the suppliers working for the foreign companies. If the ones working for the big 3 are having a tough time than it would make more sense to do it my way.

+1

if I could drive off the lot under 17 grand for a brand new tdi I would be super happy ... the fuel cost savings alone would be worth it ... if i get 28 in her civic i could get close to 48 in a new tuned tdi ... thats a lot of fuel

i knew a lot of people that drove hyundais, and they were all junk. not one of them had a tranny go past 75k. thats usually about a year after the warranty expires.

Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!

There are almost no used full size suvs in maine. What's up with that? The ones that are around are either $30K+ or have 100,000 miles on them.

Re: Detroit auto show *** pic!

some of our dealers are matching the rebate here, I'm trying to trade in my old zj 5.2l for a new Jeep Wrangler, so after the rebate I should get it for about 11K or so. I'm having trouble making it happen cause the dodge dealers that are offering it dont carry jeeps.

I like the idea of this program but the one thing they should have done is restricted it to new gm, ford, and chrysler vehicles. No sense in sending this money to japan.
