thats too much work. From just the first day of burning i got 50-60 pounds of ash. at this rate im looking at close to a thousand pounds of it, minus what i can throw away

I'd just keep burning it and stirring it when it gets down to a bed of coals......most of it will burn off or blow away!!

As for potting soil at home depot.....**** that......if you really want some good soil just keep an eye on Craig's list for free fill......you'd need way too many bags from home depot......

burning it is the current plan. theres just so ****** much of it And its mostly little ****, so burning it means constantly walking between the pile and the fire, which is only 50 feet, but still annoying after a hundred trips
