Street killing tonight
Re: Street killing tonight
Well the higher it is the easier it is to keep straight... so the quicker you can get it close to BP the better... that isnt to say you have to RIP it up supper quick and sketchy, just quick enough...
uhmm, it's all in your shoulders and handlebars... to steer you shift your shoulders in the direction you want to go... and if the tail is drifting, you push on that sides bar... (ie, if the tail wants to kick right, you shift shoulders right and push forward on the right clipon... at first its going to be hard to "catch" it.. but you'll get used to it...
here is what i have told other people and it seemed to help them a lot... your goal in a stoppie is two fold... one to get as high as you are comfortable with, obviously with out flipping and while being SMOOTH on the brake!
TWO, concentrate on keeping the rear wheel behind your head... picture the rear wheel and make it a goal to keep it behind you head... if it starts to drift, you have to make corrections to keep it BEHIND YOU HEAD... keep thiinking that... they to use shoulders, steering, little leaning... whatever works... hope that helps a little... it's easier in person

although to be honest, you dont even need a template really
you grind one piece of steel so it fits the caliper.
the other piece of steel doesnt really need any grinding, you just drill 2 holes in it. then you weld them together
i honestly might redo mine because it isnt perfect anyway
