Right I know spending coin is gonna happen ... really the only expensive thing I'll drop in is probably the never summer if i go that route ... probably get the bindings for christmas - been watching whiskey, brociety, and tramdock for deals - wish i woulda pulled the trigger on that ride board for ehr, it was cheap ... although glad you told me the 145 would be too big for her ... i had read a few girls that liked the escapades - didn't know they were that stiff ... thanks for the heads up on that too ... i have no prob with going burton it just seems like they have a ton of fan boys and i feel like they are over marketed and the quality might not be the same as some of the smaller companies ... although i am no pro so it probably won't matter what i ride lol ... i'm going a little cheaper for the wife as it really won't matter for her

The quality is there in Burton but you can get the same quality for cheaper if you go with another brand. My girl rides a K2 pretty much all the companies make the same entry level board for right around the same price. NS makes good products too.

Board

Boots either of these are fine.

And these have a really good lacing system.

either of these Bindings

These are my recommendations for a 5'1" woman starting out buying from that site.

I don't like discussing my job on internet forums, but I might be able to get you one. Check the price online for just the pad though, it might be worth it just to buy one because the one I might be able to get you will be pulled off and used. I will also have to ship it and it will be an odd sized package.

I went to mcdonalds the other night, there was a fat chick at the counter. I asked her for the par discount, she winked and gave me 3 apple pies for a dollar instead of 2.
