Re: This is my forum now
If you want to have nice equipment you're gonna have to spend some coin. The escapade bindings are way too high end and made with a lot of carbon in them which makes them real stiff. If she's just starting out she's not going to want stiff bindings you want soft forgiving equipment. A 145 may be a bit too big my girl's 5' and she's on a 138 she's getting a 141 this year. If you're going to talk product I'm always going to push Burton but there are a lot of other companies that make good stuff too.
... i had read a few girls that liked the escapades - didn't know they were that stiff ... thanks for the heads up on that too ... i have no prob with going burton it just seems like they have a ton of fan boys and i feel like they are over marketed and the quality might not be the same as some of the smaller companies ... although i am no pro so it probably won't matter what i ride lol ... i'm going a little cheaper for the wife as it really won't matter for her Re: This is my forum now
(937): (Sent)I just woke up parked in an Arby's parking lot with no one in the car but me and I'm pretty sure I have no idea what town I'm in. Where are you?(Recv'd) Eating some curly fries. We're in Illinois. Come on in.
Re: This is my forum now
Right I know spending coin is gonna happen ... really the only expensive thing I'll drop in is probably the never summer if i go that route ... probably get the bindings for christmas - been watching whiskey, brociety, and tramdock for deals - wish i woulda pulled the trigger on that ride board for ehr, it was cheap ... although glad you told me the 145 would be too big for her

No not usually I just saw it and I didn't want to pass it up. I'll probably take it out for a photo shoot or ride it raggae fest for the **** of it. I want your board because that was my first real board and I love the graphic's on the base.

I don't like discussing my job on internet forums, but I might be able to get you one. Check the price online for just the pad though, it might be worth it just to buy one because the one I might be able to get you will be pulled off and used. I will also have to ship it and it will be an odd sized package.
