Light cars don't need monstorous amounts of torque unless you just want to spin the tires. Heavy cars like old montes and impalas will react well with a lot of torque.

1998 12 Valve Cummins. Whatever that is. Looks to be a 6 in the pictures.

Cummins motors are 5.9 straight sixs. The newer ones are 6.7 straight sixs

cool, but totally the wrong application. who wants a vet that tops out at 80 mph? You can only make the ring gear so thin before it becomes weak, and thats a lot of torque to put into a weakened rear end.

It's got a Ford 9" in the rear. It's a drag car.

with 35 spline axles, i wonder if its a ford housing or some aftermarket company. And 3.25 gears he says. I really wonder what top speed is, i bet it gets there easily

Ring gear thickness depends on what offset carrier you have. If you have the right carrier for your gear ratio you will be fine.

Depends on the trans that he has. Figure top RPM at 4000 RPM.

it said hes got a 47rh (dodge junk, shoulda used an NV) which has something like .7 in 4th. Even with that and a 3.25 rear i still think the car would top out below 120 unless the rear tires are pretty big. I havent found any drag strip results on his site yet.
