I also spent a long time cleaning the chain to my dirtbike with a rag and tooth brush......I didn't clean it last time and there was a lot of surface rust......I think it's finally stopped stretching though......I've had to tighten it everytime I've ridden it since i replaced the 520 with a 428 set up.
once a chain starts stretching, it will never stop. UNLESS you take apart each link, clean out the inside, grease, and reassemble. Which of course isnt actually possible. Chain "stretching" doesnt happen from the metal actually stretching, it happens from the pivots in each link wearing out from dirt/sand getting in there.

That sucks.....it was a spendy setup.....probably a waste of money....titanium sidewinder set up.....chain and both sprockets......but it took a lot of wieght off the final drive and I could easily feel the difference in power delivery......I'll just have to take better care of it......

mostly spray pattern. the stock ones are pretty much designed for "fuel economy" if you know what i mean. A real wide one can empty a can in under a minute.

that'll never happen......fortunately I will only have to replace the chain.....the sprockets are bulletproof and have a lifetime warranty.

There's a store called "The Scrapyard" on west broadway that sells all graffiti ****, including quality montana paint and different tips that Mike was talking about; They literally have hundreds of different types of tips. We used to live there back in the day. NY Fatcaps kicked all kinds of *** for throwies.

when you replace the chain, get tehm to warranty the sprockets too. If you put a new chain on used sprockets, whichever is made of softer metal will "break in" to match the other. OEM engineers designed their **** so the sprockets would wear to match the chain, but if your sprockets are harder than tempered steel, then the chain will wear to match the sprockets (and put you right back whee you are now)

Make sense or no?
