I have a meeting with a Major magazine tomorrow about outside coordinating. They have relayed to me already they want to be involved. The level of their involvement will be the factor. I do not want another overcrowed show, so steps are being made to try and stretch this over more than 1 day ..

Looks like we might have it for 2-3 days...

The mag said they are in 100%..

So the ball is back in our court.
I go to Daytona Monday/Tuesday for finals on date.
Actually was thinking on getting more than 1 spot.
Reason?:
Stunt teams go to Daytona every year and get ran off, ticketed, and arrested. (AKA East Coast ). I've seen for years peeps running around selling their **** out of the back of their damn SUVs.
How can you take advantage of the BIGGEST motorcycle weekend out of the back of a truck?
I mean the expo is too expensive and permits are need for everything, I mean everything..

Answer:
A bunch of team could get together and lease a site at the Expo. This would cut down on your overhead, and create a stir.
While I'm at Daytona, I will find out details on all of this. I will also look into a second location just for StuntTeam vending.

Here is what is on the plate so far:
Municple Stadium:
(I know the surface sucks, but there just is nothing close enough to pay for it), the back road behind the stadium is nice though. If you have looked back there you know what I'm talking about. We'll mark off more of that road and plu we will have it all day. This will take care of that MAD crowding we had in October
Days:
The Magazine wanted Thursday and Saturday. I was like WTF.. WHat about Friday? SO it looks like they are in for all 3 days. (the last weekend of Bike Week) But, 3 days is a long f-ing time....

Details have to ironed out by Jan. 15th. This would ensure the news getting into the magazine for the months of Feb & March. Plus ins, fencing, lights, vendors, blah, blah, blah!!!!

Manpower is the issue right now.
Trying to get enough to cover (??) days is a little tough.
I go BACK to Daytona tomarrow to dicuss $$ and time.

Right now I'm trying to recruit 1 or 2 local peeps to help out on the $$ side.
In Feb I already have to put out $$$$$$$$ on:
1. Court $10,000(trying to get custody of my little girl )
2. A new Bike $11,200 after taxes (still working on this one)
3. Racing at Daytona (ccs):
- Tire warmers = $350.
- SharkSkinz = $750.
- Reg&Prac = $350.
- Tires = $400
4. Ortho = $600. (having 5 teeth pulled for Braces ins won't cover)
5. Hotel for Bike Week = ??? (not sure how long I will stay)
6. Life:
- House payment
- Electricity
- Blah, blah, blah

Plus,
My wife will be 7.5 months Pregnant
Now you want to talk issues :
Try explaing to your pregnant wife how you can afford all this at the beginning of the year knowing she is going to miss work for a few months due to the new addition to the family, hahahaha.. It's not easy.
Then after you have that smoothed over, wisper under your breathe that you are planning on throwing an event that might get rained out and loose your *** on...
Finally that brings us back to the Manpower, hopefuly they will have a little $$ ..

After Feb/Mar I might have to come stay with yall

So let me get this straight, there will be no Municiple Stadium Show and no Todd Colbert Show, and no Starboyz Show.........................what happened to last year???? We're going from 3 stunt shows in 2003 to ZERO stunt shows in 2004?

Anyway,
I wasn't for sure if the crowd could support a 2 day event either. I tried to get a few others involved to help with the set-up, but it seems they only want to "talk/bitch" about it afterwards instead of geting in on the set-up.

I needed "local" peeps to help with the set-up. I know Bike Week is much larger that Biketoberfest and I want nothing to do with a bad show.
If I had enough "Players", this could still get done.

I just don't have 100% of my time to put to it.
2 Days is about 24hrs worth of time. (12hrs each day, noon to midnight)
We need people who would help cover all this time, and with me racing(hopefully), someone would have to keep everything undercontrol incase the city guys come by..

 

If there aint nothing else going on....then we would be stupid not to help something happen......I for one know we would more than likely sell enough merch to pay for the bike week trip

where else can your team ride and sell merch for free for 2 days???

don't know if this helps but there was a closed Home Depot right on Speedway Drive ( near the track & Hess station). it was used a few years back for a place to play. i know cops are much worse now, but if you can get a business to ok the use of their parking lot?? it could be an option.
