I own a diamondback joker, It took a long *** time to break in the pads, and get the settings to my liking, but when you do, you can roll some long endos.
The bike costs $274 with a 5 year warrenty

dont brag too much. it only covers if you break the frame at a weld, nothing else. i've broken 5 db frames. you have too strip your bike, pay for shipping and wait for them to send you another frame.

I have a Giant Iguana Disk mountain bike, cost me $700 I went through tons of wal-mart bikes. My new one though is like a rock, I've had some bad crashes with it and it's held up well. (except the time I hit a dirtbike jump and landed on the front wheel, lol) You need to go to your local bike shop and ask around, you should be able to get a decent bike for around $250 - $350.

your not going to do endos with most side pull calipers, you need U or V brakes.

The friction directly against the rim causes the wheels to lock up, which obviously is not conducive to a rolling stoppie, but disc brakes catch a second rolling wheel "the disc" which does not lock up as fast as a caliper that directly applies to the wheel

covert is right in a way, but I lock the front to get it up, and then release it and feather it to keep the wheel spinning. Disks work the same way, just more squeezing power on the disk, and different pad compounds (sintered for me) help the grip and slip. The same type of force is being applied to the wheel, wether it be a smaller force from the rim, or a disk mounted directly to the hub.
